The shape of a tree is quintessential. We recognize a tree not just for what it is, a unique living organism, but for what it implies. The branching structure that trees have perfected over millennia is not only a smart way to grow upwards, but it is also a nearly universal metaphor for the idea that all life is connected.
Artist
Maja Rose and Tess Lloyd met in 1999 while studying Industrial Design together at the University of Technology, Sydney. After graduating into professional roles, the designers soon sought the fulfillment of creating their own products by hand. Polli was born from their strong interests in sustainable design, craft culture, and fashion.
