Susan Bryant Caron creates her jewelry at her home studio in Freeport, Maine, where she is busy with her fledgling business, raising a daughter, planting new gardens, and remembering how she used to spend hours a week doing yoga. She recalls her childhood ambition as having success at doing something creative, and is passionate about great design in all aspects of her life.

"I came from a very creative family, so I think I have the gene for jewelry making. It just took some time to surface as the frontrunner," Susan told us. As a graphic designer by trade and a former art director for several nationally known companies, she has always been involved in creative pursuit.

While she's working in her studio, listening to rock and roll or the birds outside the window, Susan makes a point of using environmentally friendly methods and materials. She doesn't use solder or glue, her metals are recycled, and she buys American made findings and artist glass. She also claims to have been carrying around canvas bags for purchases "since graduating from college waaaaay back when!"
